Affordable, Polyester covered futon mattress,

It was made in the USA, which is awesome!! It arrived packaged well with delayed shipping. It has a plastic like smell when it was first opened, but it dissipated right away, once in place. It seems to be the 8 " desired thickness which we wanted. I think it would be a better product if it was not wrapped in polyester but we have covered it with a cotton futon cover to enhance the comfort and look. It is only for use in a spare bedroom and I think it will be durable and suit the purpose. It is definitely more utilitarian than a showstopper. Spend the extra money if you want one you don't need to cover.

When I opened it it was a little bigger than full size, but once I folded it into to a couch it fit just fine. It was the thickness that I wanted and has stayed the same since. It is very comfortable and I would definitely recommend it.

Super easy to take out of the box and set it up, it arrived days ahead of schedule (which was VERY pleasing!). I bought this to be a couch in my craft room that can be converted into a bed for company to sleep on. Initially it is a little hard to form into a couch on my futon frame because it is very firm. But I don't think that's a bad thing. I see that as a sign of it's high quality and I believe that over time it will stay in the folded couch position easier. I of course tested it out in the bed/sleeping position and it was WONDERFUL! The perfect amount of firmness and I couldn't feel any of my frame poking through. In short - this is a high quality mattress at a decent price. Well worth the money and I would highly recommend it! I love it and am very happy I chose this one to buy.

I have had this about a year. After 6 months I rotated head to foot and last month I flipped it over. It has compacted quite a bit even though I sit in different areas and have rotated and flipped. Sometimes I sit on the side edges and can feel it is higher, but it isn't comfortable that way for anything but a temporary perch. It is pretty comfy to sleep on, either as a couch or fully open. The color is blue but they used white thread - I keep the futon covered with a sheet as I want to keep the main cover clean. It is a decent value for the money, overall.
