Works great. I'm not sure the size of my room but I'm using it in a medium size bed room for only a few hours at a time. I live in Florida so it's expected that it's not going to be able keep the room super cool. So, this is actually my second one of these machines. The first one came defective with a non working water sensor. Although, I contacted the manufacturer through the number on the manual. They were super helpful and actually sent me another machine, (that's the one in the photos). The app is super easy to connect to the AC, and works great. I'm a little worried about how much electric it takes, as my parents pay electric and my father likes to conserve to save money. Hopefully there isn't too much of an increase. Having the machine set on medium speed, it's about as loud as my large fan set to high. I'm used to the noise so it doesn't really bother me. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, and gave it 4 stars because the first one came defective.

We bought this to replace our old freestanding air conditioner. It's fantastic I can use the remote it's fairly quiet compared to my last one and it looks a lot better. We're very pleased!

I was looking for a quiet(er) air conditioner and picked this Della model with 14,000 BTUs for cooling my main living space. Using the "Sound Meter" app from the Google Play Store I decided to test this bad boy out. Setting the unit to it's lowest point of 60 degrees, I sat right in front of the unit with the phone just below the Della logo and was able to get the following readings:
Starting point: No air, just the window open to vent tube width 34-40 db
A/C low 51-55 db, medium 52-55 db and high 51-56 db. The compressor was noticeable, like the refrigerator kicking on.
The Fan measured: low 45-49 db, medium 47-51 db and high 49-52 db.

I then went and sat on the couch about 7 feet away (see photo) and ran the test again.
A/C on low 44-47 db, medium 46-47 db and high 46-49 db.
Fan on low 36-38 db, medium 39-41 and high 41-43 db

The app gives level indicators of:
30 db whisper
40 db quiet library
50 db quiet office
60 db conversation

For receiving the item, I was told it would arrive Monday-Wednesday and it showed up early, on Saturday. The VERY THICK cardboard box had a slight indent in the middle, but nothing broke thru to the inside of the box so the unit was not damaged (YAY!). I received everything except weather stripping, but that is okay as I plan to insulate the window opening and window kit with foam board as the window it will be in gets the afternoon sun. It has been sitting upright for 6 days now before plugging it in and it immediately cooled in a/c mode.

While writing this review I turned my movie back on and had to increase the volume from 10 to 13 to hear over the fan being on high in fan mode. Just now I put the fan to low and turned the tv back down to 10, which is normal volume for me.

The media could not be loaded. This was a pretty easy install. It blows air through the entire livingroom and into another room and hallway that's connected as long as the least ceiling fans are going along with it. It's not too loud and I love the fact that it's also a heater. I Haven't tried it yet but I will in the winter. If it works to my liking, I'll come back and get it another star. I've had it 2 days. So far, so good. Will let you know how it lasts. But we do plan to buy a 2nd one for our bedroom.

Works great but to use the heater it has to be elevated about 8 inches off the ground. Or code f something keeps shutting it off. Works fine after elevating it.
