Great - extension cord length important though

I got this in order to install a runner on my oak stairs with crown staples. After reading review I was a little concerned about a lack of power, but due to the price decided to give it a try.
Some previous reviews mention the importance of using a short extension cord and outlet whose circuit breaker isn't using any other power.
Very true! I started with a heavy duty outdoor 12ft long extension and staples would not fully penetrate the wood treads, realized I did not need the length and switched the extension to a light duty indoor 4ft extension and what a difference! Staples went all the way in (once every 10 or 15 shots one would need to be hammered a tad- but I expected that with the cost...and it may have been technique).
But I would not recommend if your job will be a significant distance from your outlet- I am guessing 10-12 feet (a 4-6ft extension) is safest.

For the price, this isn't bad. You get an ok amount of staples and nails. The only issue i've had is, unless you put the item you are nailing against a hard surface (concrete, hard wood), it will NOT drive all the way into the wood. I was working on an item that had small legs and since it was standing, when I drove the nail in, it stuck out about 4mm.

I've been wanting a brad nailer for a while, and I'm a sucker for a multi-use product so the fact that it does staples too is great. Pneumatic guns are more powerful but I wasn't ready for that. Not comfortable using air compressors. A cordless would be much more convenient and add to the maneuverability of it, but having a plug in tool makes sure you can use it immediately and you don't have to wait for a battery to charge. And the price was right for this; It wasn't the cheapest, but it was still affordable. My first project with this was to attach a new stair runner to my stairs. I used the staples that came with the product. There were a few that I had to hammer in because they didn't go in all the way, but other than that I am pleased and looking forward to more projects with this gun.

This electric brad gun does an okay job. The nails are mostly protruding out and need to be hammered in. Besides that, I haven't had any other issues

Mom of 3 here and I have never used a nail gun before after some research I have learned there is an electric nail gun and one powered with an air compressor which we don't have. I went thru the reviews and watched some videos I figured out how to use it very easily. I'm thinking of my next project with it.
