They are very sheer but that is what I wanted, I put fairy lights in the back. I actually used clip curtain hangers and put it upside down because it only has the white pompoms on 3 sides. I thought they were expensive but I really wanted them cause it matched my bedroom.

Love the curtain! It will look great in my kitchen. It looks more expensive than it is. However, the linen color is darker than appears online. It's closer to khaki. I returned the khaki and reordered in white. The pom poms are felted balls and don't look cheap.
