Feels like way more than 85 mg of caffeine

This has a lot of promise. The candies are easy to carry, easy to unwrap and easy to chew. The flavor is a bit bitter, but this isn't a candy tasting competition and it's palatable enough, and easy to get down without making a mess.
I gave this four stars because this hit so incredibly hard it felt like way more than 85mg of caffeine. I normally have two large cups of coffee and a tea daily, and have sometimes taken 100 mg capsules of caffeine for an added boost. I took this a few hours after my large cups of coffee. Not only did the caffeine come on quickly, as the product promised, it was of such an intensity it felt like it was way more than 85mg.
I felt wired from 11 am until I went to bed that night, and even felt a little bit uneasy the next day, which was not at all what I expected from such a modest extra bit of caffeine as someone used to caffeine. It's so strong I wonder if something got screwed up at the factory and an inappropriate amount of caffeine or something else was added.
I recognize the placebo effect here could be at play. Just the same the product seems to be so intense I can't use it as a "coffee when coffees inconvenient" substitute.

I am very happy with the product ! I use them for running and they do work well.
My problem is they are a pain to dislodge from the wrapper while running! Most of the time the paper wrapper tears and I have to try and pick little pieces of paper, which become embedded in the chews, or end up with the paper remnants in my mouth.
Can they work on finding a better way to wrap them? Please!!

They're yummy and I take daily after coffee and before lunch but they're so expensive. If I take one every day I'm paying over $40 a month for these. Yeah they're bitter, so what. It's caffeine. It's not a tasty Hershey kiss treat. I actually like the taste. The bitter aftertaste reminds you that you're actually eating coffee.

I would consider myself a "Caffeine Connoisseur." So with that being said, I didn't have super high hopes for this product, but I believe I've been proven wrong.
It seems really good. It has a mild chocolate orange taste, with the usual slight bitterness you'd expect from anything containing caffeine. But it chewed easily, and was gone soon enough. (I'd say it's close to maybe a Starburst fruit chew in consistency and size.)
It also seems to be a weird kind of caffeine. It does kick in within a few moments, and seems to be a "stable" feeling. That is, it doesn't cause jitters or heart racing, but definitely seems to generally perk me up pretty effectively.
It claims 85 mg of caffeine, I'm not sure if it's quite that high, But if it's not, it's pretty close. In a good way. Since there's no heartburn, liquid, jitters, or stomach pain from this. And it seemed to "sustain my energy" for longer and more effectively than numerous other products.
It's a little pricey, but I believe I will buy this again, just for the ease and convenience. It's perfect in a pocket, glovebox, backpack, or tucked away somewhere, etc.
