Quinoa looks and tastes better if you do the following:
Pour some olive oil to coat the bottom of your pot. Dump your Quinoa in the pot and carefully stir to make sure you have covered every kernel. I turn on the gas to LOW. All that does is it thins the oil so that it is easier to coat the kernels. Then I add my liquid, which is a can of chicken broth. I don't add salt since the chicken broth is enough. I cook the Quinoa in my rice cooker and adhere to their recommended liquid to brown rice quantities. So, add water, if necessary. Mix well. I also add some Turmeric to give it a golden color. 1 teaspoon should be enough; but you can add more. That's it. Sometime, after it's cooked, I add some chopped green onions for crunch and visual effect.
