This tofu press is great! A lot of recipes with tofu require pressing it to remove excess liquid for better absorption of other ingredients to flavor the tofu. This tofu press also happens to be the most eco-friendly design I could find. All the others seem to be made of plastic. Another thing I loved was the customer service. I ordered one that had been returned through Amazon and was missing parts. Inside the box there was a card that said "please text or email if there are any issues with this product." I did so and received the missing part within three days. I was happy they didn't have me go through the trouble of taking it to an Amazon return location and replacing the whole thing.

I bought this because it was made of sustainable materials but in using it I found that the system was messy and that I couldn't disassemble it for storage. Once I installed the screws and the washers, the product was stuck like that and I couldn't break it back down to put away in its box. It does the job of pressing tofu and I appreciated the included cheesecloth. You will have to moisturize the wood with mineral oil after cleaning to maintain the press' smoothness.
