We did have an issue with delivery, but that was an Amazon issue.
The bike came mostly assembled and it took only 15 minutes to have it ready.
The gears and brakes were all perfectly setup already and hardly needed an adjustment.
Have been riding it for about 5 months and it is comfortable, rides and performs well.
The overall build is very strong.
Cons:
No room for a water bottle, which is expected with a softtail.
A bit on the heavy side, considering the cost the bike is clearly not made of super lightweight materials. A tradeoff I was happy to take.
Overall it was a solid purchase that I'm happy with

Good If You Have The Right Expectations

Bike arrived in a really timely fashion. Box wasn't ill treated, which hasn't always been the case when I've opted to order a bike online. I'll state up front, my principle reason for ordering this bike was for the frame geometry. The bike is not inordinately heavy; it would be nice if the weight was listed someone on the product page - apologies if it is and I just didn't find it :/ That in itself can be a bit of a red flag for a mountain bike, IMO. I knew that I would likely be upgrading things on this bike along the way as time and finances allowed. Which is probably not the best approach; better to save up for something you really want instead of quickly splashing out for something you strongly suspect will be served with aftermarket parts. But I'm the type who loves a good project. And the bike is perfectly usable as is. Mine seemed to be just fine. I'm accustomed to working on bikes, so little things you'd normally send a bike to a shop to fix don't scare me, especially before an initial ride. Brakes needed tuning and calibrating. A spoke or two adjusted to true a wheel could be necessary for some. Long story short; if you are not aware of the things that should be done for a full bike setup (beyond the simple things you obviously need to assemble to get the bike rolling after delivery), or comfortable doing them yourself adequately and safely, do yourself and your local bike shop a favor of letting them give you the best chance of success with your bike :)
A few things I'd prioritize in future upgrades, and what the would-be buyer should be realistically be aware of as things to factor into additional costs for longevity of the bike:
-Pedals are really, really budget. Would recommend buying better; $20-30 would serve you well here.
-The crankset (arms in particular) seem like they won't hold up to hard use for any real length of time. $50 as a minimum jumping off point, and I wouldn't spend too far beyond what a bike like this is worth.
-Brakes, with some adjustment (at least on my bike), are serviceable. An upgrade would give you more confidence, and the ones on there aren't overengineered in the least, to put it mildly :/
-The wheel hubs gave me pause. I'd be curious how long they'd last when really put through their paces. -Tires are respectable. Depending on the type of riding you're doing, it may be worth keeping a few spare tubes on hand. And be sure to research pressure recommendations for the type of riding you are intent on doing. Hard tails can be as hard on tubes as their namesake suggests. Also...
-The front fork would be on my update wish list. Not that the one that comes stock is terrible; it does absorb, albeit without much travel. But if you take this bike where a frame of this geometry looks like it wants to go, you'll be grateful for a fork that's well and truly up to what you throw at it.
As you can tell, it'd be easy for the additional costs to get this bike to a real expensive, making this something really capable. But in the interim, barring a real lemon of a bike, and knowing that the initial setup can be a variable experience for people, this bike is a fine bargain for what it is. You get a very workable, serviceable bike an adult can expand the capabilities of as they go, in my opinion. If you're buying for a kid, I think you can be pretty happy with this bike - again, with the caveat that a complete, competent initial setup is much better peace of mind for them, let alone yourself. Would certainly recommend this bike, even if just with the faint little asterisk I gave at length :P

Overall A Solid MTB

I am very impressed with the build quality of this bike considering the price. The blue and the orange also go so well together and look wayyyy better in person. The only things I would consider upgrading is the seat and possibly the pedals. The seat like most other reviews is definitely skinny and hurts your bum. And the pedals are a little small for my liking but still get the job done.
Good bike, very affordable full suspension frame

Pretty good bike.
Tires that come with bike are a little on the cheap side-have gotten a lot of flats.
The rear gear set came slightly warped- seems to be ok with proper bike maintenance.
As with most bikes of any price range the pedals would do best to be upgraded.
Have had problems getting brakes adjusted correctly with enough space between rotor and have lost a lot of the bikes ability to stop in process.

When the bike came the box was damaged.. and some parts were missing"¦ the company gave us a partial refund for all of our troubles"¦ and we were very happy with that. My husband took a couple of parts off of his old bike and now he loves his bike from Hiland! We will buy from them again!
