This bike checks all the boxes for modern options: disk breaks, off road tires, decent shifters, mostly pre-assembled, etc. Where it falls short is in the little things. The wheels (metal rims) are not made for the tires that come with it: wide mountain bike tires and very narrow street wheels. It appears that they bought a batch of wheels that 'can' work with anything, any just put them with everything. The shifters on the bike I received operate in reverse of normal. For example, going from 1 to 7 has you going from high to lower gears (meaning hard to pedal to easy to pedal). Weight capacity is another thing. I don't weigh anywhere near the max weight capacity, but it feel like it's just not as solid as I would want it to be. Granted, I bought it for my son. Once he gets more accustomed to it, then I'll probably move up to something else. I don't expect it to fall apart, but I don't exactly trust it to not slip a gear during pedaling either - I wouldn't stand up while pedaling up a hill.

A nice bicycle for the kids. It took less then an hour to assemble and then tweak the brakes and shifters so they were spot on. Front and rear wheel bearings needed to be greased as they were nearly dry and over tightened (thus the four stars). Be prepared to do a lot of adjustments on the cables and de-railer.

This bike really cool. The look of it is sporty and new school. I do get compliments on it. The gear shifting has been spot on. The suspension feels good. I'm 220lbs and it's handling me. I only ride in the streets and bike trails, no off-roading though. The way it folds up fits nicely in my Accord coupe, I'm sure it'll fit in my trunk if I didn't have stuff in it. My only mod was a handlebar raiser, it felt too low for me. Also I blue Loctite all of the screws, especially the ones on the breaks. They weren't on tight and one actually fell out on my ride, fortunately I found it. With the Loctite on everything I feel at ease. Overall I'm more than satisfied with this bike and looking forward to having more fun with it. I do recommend it for normal casual riding, portability and space saving. And it looks cool.
