I've had this electric blanket for about a year now. It got light use (during the winter months in Florida) but worked as advertised. I was able to buy it for about half the normal price (perhaps because they had too much of the color "Clay" in stock at the time) and the fact that I feel I got a really good bargain helps the rating in my case. The controls work well, it's definitely soft, and if it lasts a few more years, it will have been a great buy.

Man this sucker gets hot. It can go up to a setting of 8 like the one I had before from another brand. But in the last one, I usually had it pegged. With this one I can normally handle 3 or lower. Only time I had it pegged was when our heater didn't work for a day. Even then I couldn't stay under it too long without a break. The 2 different side is nice too as my husband doesn't want to be under a heated blanket so he can keep his side off and I don't have to figure out how to have a heated blanket on just one half of the bed. I find the control thing not very intuitive so I keep the instructions nearby.

I got the king sized blanket with two controls. It is so soft, and warm. I absolutely love this blanket. I live where it's not uncommon to hit -35 windchill or colder in the winter so I am very excited to stay super warm and cozy this winter with my beautiful blanket.

I love this blanket! To be fair, I am single so I don't have any extra body heat when I get into a cold bed. This thing makes all the difference in the world! Biggest bonus for me is that I can set it to turn off after 30 minutes, an hour, or 12 hours. My previous blankets stayed on eight hours or so unless I turned them off. Big drawback. I don't want to wake up sweating. It does take a while to heat up, I have to turn it on at least an hour before I go to bed, usually two hours. But it is super soft and it works. As I said being able to set it to turn off when I want is a game changer. I got the red, and it does leave little red fluffy"˜s all over my bed, which freak me out until I realize what they are, but it's not that big of a deal.
