Sturdy enough bedside commode so far, although the toilet seat could be a couple inches longer for more comfort. It is 14.5 long by 13.5 wide, but a longer one could be switched out. I added a soft seat cushion that I strapped to the seat for a bit of extra comfort. The pail is shallow, 6 inches deep by 10.5 diameter, but okay for a woman. (some men may need a deeper pail. The pail/bucket has a handle for transport and has a tight lid to keep odors out.
