Bought on for my son and one set for his best friend, they both love them! The cop car lights go on while it's driving and the cars go fast too! There's no governing system on them so it teaches the younger kids to kind of have to control the speed a bit more. I wouldn't suggest it for any younger than 4 though.

I bought this for my son's 7th birthday and we love it. I remember my first slot car track as a kid and this is top notch in my book. My only criticism is that the controllers could be designed better. They're ergonomical and fit a kids hand really well, but it's difficult to determine the right amount of pressure to push the button without making the car zoom off the track. I also think the wire contacts on the bottom of the cars could be designed better to prevent them from splaying out and losing contact. These are just my concerns to make it the most enjoyable for a kid so they don't lose interest.
