I used these to taps to connect the main power line on my bike to 4 small LEDS on the license plate mount in the pic. It's been a few weeks and it's still working great. I used these t-tap connectors to add "element power" indicators to the cooktop and bake elements of a 240V electric stove by tapping into the wiring from the control to the element. In my situation, the wires being tapped were AWG 16 so I used the blue T-taps. A regular set of pliers worked perfectly to set these. My indicators used very small wire (~AWG 24) so I doubled it over and used the red spade connectors. Actual lug crimpers should be used on these. I found it was too easy to install the spade connector with the spade OUTSIDE the receptacle on the T-tap, so be sure to use some care and look closely when plugging these in. The connection at the spade is a single edge slot in the tap (see product photo) so this should not be asked to carry a lot of load or be reassembled many times. For my application, these worked very well. I give them only 4 stars because of how easy it is to plug the spade in and miss the slot on the tap when you're working in a dark, cramped space.
