Clean looking and easy to setup, but the speaker broke after 8.5 months

Decent alarm clock for the price. The speaker stopped working after 8.5 months. Luckily, I set an alarm on my phone as a backup. I had a different brand alarm clock before this one and that one lasted almost 2 years before the speaker broke

It really is hard finding a decent alarm clock. I don't want all kinds of bells and whistles - I've got my phone for that. I just wanted something that easily displayed the time and would allow me to easily set an alarm, and the alarm would be loud enough to wake me up.
This was it.
Setting the time and alarms was easy - simply press one button to start setting it, set the time or alarm, and then press the button again.
The display light has 4 modes - all easily changed with one button. The lowest was barely able to be seen, and the highest was far too bright for at night. The 2nd lowest was just perfect.
The alarm was plenty loud enough to wake me up.
It offers battery back up so I don't have to worry about resetting it every time the power goes off.
It does have a USB plug on the back, but, like others have said, you would not want to use it right next to your bed because the clock is far too light, and if you picked up your phone while it was plugged in, you'd probably pick up the clock, too. But I didn't buy it for the USB plug.
All in all, it met every expectation.

I bought this as a gift for my wife. She did not like her old clock but she loves this primarily because she can dim the light at night. The numbers are large, important when she does not have her contacts on.
