I had used this can opener for 8 months to open 2 cans per day. Well, it had stopped working, like it couldn't get a grip on the can or cut it, not sure what happened. I contacted KitchenMama and they sent me a free replacement! Would definitely recommend this can opener and if you use it as often as I do, rechargeable batteries work great!
This can opener actually works. And easy to use. Takes a small space to store.

I am recovering from a shoulder surgery and I find mannual can operner to be very hard with one hand. So I finally got this. I am not a fan of automated stuff - how difficult is life to have a can opened automatically? But once I had a surgery, different story now. This opener takes 4 AA batteries. It is easy to install Also easy to use - push the button to start and push the button to stop. It is nice to look at and is stored easily in a drawer. I am very pleased.

Kitchen Mama has great customer service. I contacted them about the can opener I originally received, and they sent me a replacement. That one had problems, too, so they sent me a third one. This one works perfectly, and I love it! Easy to use, and a lid with no sharp edges. Honestly worth the hassle.
Original review (1 star): As soon as I inserted the last battery, it started running. Pressing the on/off switch does absolutely nothing. The only way to shut it off -- and it is extremely loud -- is to remove a battery.

Kitchen Mama customer service was excellent! I contacted their customer service as I had an issue with the can opener not working properly. They responded quickly asking some questions regarding the issues I was experiencing. After a few emails, they determined a new replacement can opener should be sent to me. Within a week of beginning the process, I had a new can opener, that works perfectly! Very professional, responsive customer service that quickly resolved my problem.
As for the product, the can opener works great, easy to use. I was struggling to use a normal can opener due to some physical limitations. This Mama Kitchen can opener is a game changer! I'm a single Lady and buy alot of small can so I don't have a lot of leftovers. this can opener does not open the small cans, have to use my old fashion opener. Otherwise, it is very good on the full size cans
