Like all ego products theirs is a quality machine. It works with the existing batteries that Ego sells. Battery life may vary with the way you use it. If on high boost power setting it can burn through a 7.5 amp battery in about an hour of continuous usage. I found that it is best to use the low setting rather than have it on boost cycle all the time. This increases battery life and the unit does not get warm. Using the lower setting provides enough power to move leaves and debris and reduces the noise level. To give you an example of its power my grandson using low power actually was able to power himself on a skate board down the street holding the blower aimed behind him. I don't recommend this as a normal task but it was funny to watch ! If you need a blower or something to replace a gas blower I highly recommend this unit.

I have a lot of EGO products; lawn mower, chain saw, and leaf blower. The leaf blower is a powerful home run. It's light, and really blows well. Batter life is excellent, and balance and ergo nomics are superb. Wish I had bought it earlier. I also got the attachment to clean the gutters and that really works well. Earlier, I have a not so good review of their chain saw. Not so with this blower. It's very well done. They should have let the engineer who designed the blower designed the chain saw as well. Hope your reading EGO. Very good products overall. And you can use the same battery on all the tools. That really helps make it convenient.

I have appreciated the quiet of the Ego blower but was frustrated by the difficulty of controlling direction of blown material. Adding this part was transformative. I am able to manipulate leaves directionally using gentler speeds. Saves a load on the battery. I no longer feel I am covered in dust after using the product. Frankly, this part ought to be standard equipment. That said, I'm just very happy to have added it now. I like the blower much better now.
