Lasted a year. Kids eat a lot of ice cream so it had a lot of use. It is cheaply made and the head, like others have reported, simply fell off due to the cheap weld and cheap material. Some small stainless steel screws may be able to fix this. I have only ever hand washed it so no rust problems. Also like others have said it is hollow so its hard to clean the inside when the kids just dump it in the sink and I find it later. I had no problem scooping ice cream. Because it's cheap, worked, and doesn't blister leaving who knows what in my kids ice cream, and for 10.00 I am buying again. I've spent 10 bucks on a lot worse things.

Lasted a year and I rated product a 3 as the head fell off. It's still a great product, just may have some minor flaws that need addressed such as the spot welds. Maybe switch connection to stainless steel screws. I like it so much I did buy another because well I have spent 10.00 on a lot worse things. Customer service kicked in and refunded the purchase cost. Excellent service and stand by their business! So it's as if I never bought the replacement. Product still needs work but I truly appreciate the great customer service!

We've been using an ice cream scooper without the trigger for almost a decade now. It seems like every single scooper we purchased with a trigger prior would break within a couple of weeks or months. This one seems pretty sturdy. As a matter of fact I pulled the trigger on this about 100 times after washing it to see if it'll break before putting it away. So far it's holding up well. No more having to finger out the stuck ice cream. Will update the review if anything changes.
