This item replaced multiple appliances that were on the counter. Love it.

I admit it. I am a fan of gadgets and when I saw this, I was completely intrigued by the idea of being able to replace multiple items with one product. In complete honesty, I really did need a blender and a mixer and the combination of both in one machine (with all the other attachments!) - made this a dream purchase (if it worked).

It works. I haven't had a chance to use the pasta or meat grinder attachments (coming soon) but what I can tell you about is this:

The mixer design is really well thought out. The lid for the bowl to prevent spills has silicone (?) pads built into it to keep it securely in place when used and to reduce noise from vibration. The mixer bowl itself is huge and can handle some seriously large dough balls. The size of the mixer is only a problem if you make tiny batches of baked things. The mixer doesn't do well with the equivalent of three serving batter mixes because of its large size.

The grippy feet on the bottom hold really well. I have placed mine on a plastic sheet used for cutting foods so I can slip it back and forth on my counter as needed. Otherwise, those grippy feet would never let me slide the machine around. If I need to secure it so it doesn't "walk" across the counter when in use, I put it on the counter, not the plastic sheet.

The blender works perfectly and it is fun to use.

The vegetable grater/slicer/shredder attachments are handy when you only have 1 or 2 small items you need to take care of. It is not meant to do industrial, high speed shredding/grating/slicing so be aware of that when you need that job done. Also, because of that - you can't force things through it like you can with a hand grater or a more industrial gadget. Slice or cut small enough that you don't need to force anything is your best bet. Softer, wetter foods like apples may require more time and a more deliberate assessment of how to cut them for the feeder to make things operate smoother.

Interesting things to know:

there is a handle on the side that will "release" the top of the mixer so you can pull the bowl out. Push lever back and wait for top of mixer to separate and rise. If it isn't moving, you might have moved the lever in the wrong direction or not enough or there's something in the way.

All the end caps that you need to remove for the front end attachments or the the blender on top will be tight. It will take a little getting familiar with it to remove them easily (also some use will improve their out-of-box-stiffness) so don't panic if you find yourself struggling with them on first few tries. Also, don't force it. Take your time and it will pop off for you gently. Re-attaching them is no problem at all.

And best part of all, it is not noisy. Some kitchen appliances are so noisy that it sounds like a jet plane is landing on your roof. This is noisy (it IS a mixer/blender, after all) but not nearly to the obnoxious levels some of my appliances have been in the past.

All in all, this was a purchase well worth the investment. I am delighted with the design and the details they paid attention to along the way.

My KitchenAid of 20 years recently kicked the bucket. I did not want to spend $400+ on a new mixer, so I began to research new options that were cheaper. That's when this mixer caught my eye, with its massive bowl and many attachments (the blender really caught my attention!). The reasonable price point of $180 convinced me to buy it, especially due to the winter approaching.

When I received it, I was delivered the wrong color (I ordered black but was given the blue). I decided to try out the product anyway and fell in love. It is super strong and can mix anything. The large bowl allows for recipes to be doubled or even tripled. The blender is super useful, and the attachments themselves were really good quality. I made bagels this weekend (which are known for their firm and hard-to-mix dough) and this machine was able to mix it without any struggle. The top part of the machine does move when you mix, but I believe this is a design feature to stop any movement of the machine. My old KitchenAid would move around when it mixed, which would walk to the end of my counter.

I reached out to the company about the color issue, and they offered to send me another machine in the right color. They were quick to respond, very respectful and helped me out with my issues. I will definitely be recommending this product and company to my family and friends, as well as to anyone who is reading this! You will not be disappointed.

so, I bought this because it had the most features for the money, seeming to be the best value. for the most part that is true.

1st, the capacity is HUGE. and the motor has the power to deal with even large (for a home) batches-wouldn't use this if i was planning on commercial volume however, even just a home based bakery or catering outfit.

2nd, all the accessories, just as good as its most popular competitor, that said ONLY as good as its most popular competitor. in other words you won't be getting rid of your food processor because frankly this doesn't slice or shred as well as a purpose built food processor. but it does just fine grinding meat or making pasta. can't speak as to the cookie press as I haven't used it but as it's similar to the pasta I have no reason to believe it wouldn't be good there. The blender works quite well, too.

3rd, while the unit itself might have a small counter footprint, as you might imagine all the accessories take up some space, half of the small cabinet over my fridge to be specific, but that's still less than half of the space occupied by the equipment it could replace (remember, had to keep the food processor).

About the only thing I think this could use is a pasta SHEETER, the maker that's included is an extruder-type so while it can make many types it isn't that great for wider sheet pasta, like for lasagna or home-made ravioli or pierogi, you can make the dough but you'll have to roll it out by hand if you want something larger like egg roll wrappers. Not a huge thing but as you do have the connector built in I see no reason you couldn't attach a sheeter so the maker might want to invest in making it an accessory, or else indicate compatibility with aftermarket ones that are already available.

I made sour dough pretzel dough this morning and this machine performed very well. The motor wasn't taxed at all (and sour dough can be stiff). All of the pieces/parts of this stand mixer are sturdy. I am able to get ride of 6 appliances (yes, I had them all) and am so excited to incorporate this into my kitchen life!
