Hate to compliment something that does its job but this saw does its job. Powerful enough to cut through no more than about 1/2 inch planks. Was going to go 4 star but this saw, at sale price, along with MY tool's super long battery life [fully charged on stand-by for a week, gave me considerable work before it tapped out!] makes it a 5 star.
Good saw for the money. A little heavy for one handed but it seems solid.

Just received and put it to work. Seems to be a good saw for the cost. A little heavy for one handed use, especially for full sheet plywood, long reach. ONLY issue I found so far, saw seemed to grab/stop when I started a cut. Found out the machine bolt to hold the rip guide was too long and protruded below the base and caught on the wood. Simple fix, added a lock washer under the machine bolt to raise it up, FIXED.
So far I'm happy with the saw, no regrets.

Very Good and Fast Cuts. I Was Very Satisfied With This Saw Considering I Purchased An Impact Driver Drill With 3000 rpm From The Same Maker That Wouldn't Drill A Hole In MDF Board With The Pilot Bit Alone. But It Was Powerful Enough To Almost All The Way Through. Needed A Hole Drilled First Before Cutting With Hole Saw. I'm Keeping This Product and Purchasing Some Blades For It.

I purchased this tool for a shed building project. It can cut through stud wood for framing with ease with new blade. 1.5 inches thickness without a problem. It is not too heavy and not too light, very sturdy built. RPM maintains, no crazy sparks and burning smell from motor. One star is gone because it does not cut through 1.75 thickness because of the specification limitation, it is a user concern, not a problem. After all those wood cutting, I exhausted those original Wesco blades and ending up purchasing replacement blade from galaxy pro which one can also find in amazon. Recently I run into a mysterious operational situation, I immediately contact Wesco customer support both via amazon and official web contact in an email describing the concerns, Wesco responses promptly and take the extra miles above and beyond to help me complete my project on time. I think Wesco tool deserves a bravo and an honest review from a carpentry fans and I become a loyal customer for Wesco tools.
