Husband loved using this on our new Astro Turf. Tested it out when Hurricane Ian came into town. Worked very well for a solid 30 mins vacuuming up leaved and small twigs as well as acorns. Highly recommend this product.

I love it. Haven't tried to clean vacuum up leaves yet, but I'm sure it does good as long as they're dry"¦ wish it was cheaper for the batteries, but I'm sure they are worth it.

I have made the purchase of this device in an effort to maintain my property: bamboo leaf and sweet gum ball - free. The blades go through the bamboo leafs like through butter. Unfortunately the same is not true for gum balls. These little suckers are too hard for the blades. Would like to see the manufacturer make improvements to the blades so that it cuts through them. No other company has anything like this on the market.

Opening note -- you have to following the setup and usage instructions carefully. If you do, this is an awesome machine and works very well. Many of the other reviews were very concerning, but I decided to get this machine anyway, and so glad that I did.

I have had 3 previous gas powered leaf vacs and this is a better product all the way around. Plenty of power, quite, with just the right amount of suction to pick up the leaves and small twigs without getting rocks and mulch. I have a lot of Makita tools and have been very satisfied with all of them, and this is no exception. I suggest that you also watch the YouTube videos of this unit in use. You have to hold with the batteries facing up, collection blow tube over the top and slightly to the right with the bag hanging on the right hand side. This is how is was designed and it works great like this. Yes, it has a powerful brush-less DC motor that makes power and needs power....get at least 4 of the high amp hour batteries and expect to use them. All good cordless/ battery powered tools that work well need good quality batteries. Be prepared to swap out batteries for about every 30 to 40 minutes of heavy use, and I recommend the 9Ah batteries -- yes, they are a little expensive but the work very well. Also, the reduction rate is awesome -- it mulches a lot of leaves into a very small volume. (and I don't have any business relationship with Makita)

Great purchase
