This works fine with a women's bike or a bike without a middle stabilizing bar as it only connects to the back pole. It comes up higher than in the picture. It was comfortable to ride with my 3 year old and he enjoyed it, my knees kept bumping him but only gently. Since the front part doesn't connect, it wiggles unless you do something to tie it. We used an old karate belt to tie it and it seems to be working well. Review caveat: I've only taken this on one bike ride so far. Near the end of my ride my bike blew a tire and I was able to stop safely even with my toddler on the bike with me.

This seat was fairly easy to install (the included tools that come with the seat work, but if you have better tools, I suggest you use those). I am used to the tag along bikes that you pull with an adult bike, however, we decided to give this a try and the only complaint is that this seat attachment will not fit all bikes. If you have anything in the mid frame, such as brake line, suspension, etc... this will not work. My wife's bike has a brake line, and because the top frame bends down, the seat would not fit on her bike (FYI, she has a hybrid bike). This seat is probably best fit for a bike where the frame does not bend down. This bike seat was used for a child age 5, and she is a normal sized age 5. She fit, but you could tell she would grow out of it quick (I believe the age limit was up to 6 yrs). The child was leaning forward majority of the ride, not to the point where it was uncomfortable for her, but it was noticeable. Plus, I had to peddle bow legged throughout the ride because with the child in front, I could not get the normal range of motion (good thing majority of the ride was downhill). I was pleasantly surprised that the frame on the seat did not move around a lot during the ride. The front of the seat just lays on the bike frame without anything to hold it in place. The seat is secured from the mid frame and that is it. But the seat did not move significantly from what I noticed. The instructions are terrible. To install the seat is not that difficult, and most people can figure it out However, it came with a strap which I had no idea what it was for, as the instructions did not mention the strap. We were not sure if the strap was used to secure the top seat to the frame or use it as a seat belt for the child. We ended up using it as a seatbelt for the child.

Our 3 year old adores her bike seat, and riding with her is pure delight. I'm so glad we went with a seat in front, rather than behind the adult rider. It is not necessarily an intuitive install, and the instructions could be more clear. Sometimes the seat feels a little wobbly, but has not fallen off. Overall very pleased with the purchase.

We have had other seats but they were always in the back. We love having this in front of us so we can watch our children. My toddler loves this and has so much more fun then her last seat. She loves that she feels more like she's riding the bike. So far we are really liking this. Not bulky, easy install, quick to hop on and go for a ride. She is 3 and on the smaller side would be harder to see and use when she gets older and bigger.

It's not too expensive, and it works well as a simple seat. Installing is a bit of a pain, but otherwise it's well made. Easy to remove and replace when needed.
