Look they are not made to last past your event. I use mine weekly and I don't see this one ever needing to be replaced. MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE LID TITE ON THE PEN. HARD CLICK! It's the best pen I'd had for dry erase board. So thick but I didn't seal the cap all the way. Regardless of all the warnings about it everywhere
