Look great, sturdy, wide and easy to install

This item looks great on my new truck. It was very easy to install. It could be done a lot faster than 2 hours. I'm 64 years old with 2 knee replacements and It took me 2 hours.

The most difficult part of installation was prying out the plastic pins. It works better as a two person job if you have a helper. Holding up well so far. The foot tread is hard plastic, so the only potential downside might be slipperiness in wet conditions. Other more expensive running boards have rubberized treads. But these do the job for a fraction of the cost of OEM equipment.

Installed on 2024 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab Short Bed.
Included all hardware, with 4 brackets for each side. I've seen many reviews saying that the brackets rust quickly, so i coated them with wax before installing them. Vehicle has plastic inserts that need to be removed from holes in the mounting locations before the brackets can be installed. Installation was quick and easy, only required a pick tool to remove the factory plugs, and a 12mm socket/ratchet/torque wrench and thread lock. Attaching the running boards to the brackets took the longest. After installing the passenger side by threading the top bolts into the mounting holes, then hanging the brackets on those bolts, and threading in the bottom bolts through the bracket holes into the vehicle, leaving everything finger tight, i attached the running board to the bracket. Once the running board was attached, I made sure all the brackets were straight, and the board was aligned with the back wall of the cab, I torqued all the bolts down. When i went to install the second one, I did things in a different order. First, attach the brackets to the running board, leaving all bolts loose. Remove the factory plugs from the mounting locations on the vehicle. Thread the two top bolts into the vehicle, for the two inner brackets. Hang the running board on the top two inner bolts. Install the bottom two inner bolts, then thread in the remaining 4 bolts for the outer brackets. Doing this, I was able to install the second running board in half the time it took to do the first one.

I did read a few complaints in other reviews that these were not sturdy enough, that the plastic treads were just clipped on and that they were loud when driving.
I found them to be plenty strong, bouncing on them does not flex the running board.
The plastic treads are not clipped on, they are screwed in place.
While driving on paved roads, in dry weather, there is no noise that i can hear, coming from them. No wind noise, or squeaking/creaking. When water/mud/stones are kicked up from the road, yes, you hear it hitting the running board. Maybe installing mud flaps on the front wheel wells would cut this down, but it's not terribly loud anyway. I'd rather hear the noise of things hitting the underside of the running board, than having things get flung up from the tires, and scratching the doors.
