2 Pack of 4 Way Pressure Clamps For Clamping Panels - Using Pressure From All Four Directions. Ideal For Woodworkers and Cabinet and Furniture Makers, Black

Key features
- •Clamping panels can certainly be a challenge. Especially when we try to use everyday pipe clamps or bar clamps. While these types of clamps work fairly well on certain glue up projects, the one thing they don't do at all is apply pressure from the top and bottom of the panels during glue up. In fact, with all the pressure being applied on both sides, bar and pipe clamps will almost certainly bow, buckle or rack your panel glue up project.
- •Let's make racked panel glue ups a thing of the past! The uniquely designed 4 way pressure solves this age old issue by applying pressure to all four sides of your panel glue up. With a simple turn of the rotating clamp handle, all four sides of the clamp will draw inward at the same time. This provides equal pressure on to your panel and prevents bowing, buckling, or racked panels.
- •Build any length clamp with the durable plastic bars with 4 notches for maximum adjustability to handle a variety of stock widths. Clamp can be used for boards up to 6 inches in thickness by simply adjusting the clamp width capacity with the appropriate number of notches. Turn the handle clockwise to tighten the clamp and turn the handle counter clockwise to release pressure. The 4 way pressure clamp is equipped with side pressure pads to prevent damaging your stock.
- •Now you can confidently glue up wide boards, shelving, table tops, and more up to 6" thick. To setup the clamps simply attach the clamp to any length 2 x 2's (2" x 4" ripped in half) with the the wood screws that are provided, apply wood glue to your project, set the clamps on to your panel boards and turn handle to tighten the clamp on all four sides. We recommend that you place a 4 way pressure clamp every 12" to 18" for best results.
- •This clamp package comes with two full 4 way pressure clamp assemblies. Includes: 2 each rotating handle assemblies, 2 each tailstock assemblies, 4 each side pressure pads and 12 each 4 notch bars. Together, this setup will allow you to create two 4 way pressure clamps. More than one clamp is generally recommended for any project over 12" in length. Wood is required for setting up the clamp. Wood is NOT included.

Good Quality, Challenge on Wide Boards

This is my first time using dual clamping products. I am building a large dining room table, 7ft x 4 ft. and I needed a way to clamp during glue up where I could apply pressure to flatten the piece as well as clamp together the butt joints. I like the fact with these clamps that I can modify the length of the clamp by using longer boards where the clamp connections mount. My only issue with these is, you really need a hardwood board for the clamps to make them strong enough, when building hardwood glued up assemblies.
The other issue I had was, because I am basically a one man show, I didn't have anyone to help me work with the clamps and trying to get them both lined up on top and bottom was a little challenging to say the least.
I finally was able to get them to align, then clamp. The pressure seemed to work well, mainly because I was using hard walnut boards as the clamping boards.
The jury is still out on these for me, but for smaller glue ups, I think these will work well in keeping the project flat as well as apply enough pressure to pull everything together.

Makes gluing up square flat panels relatively easy.

Purchased these to assemble a 40 table top. Little bit of a chore to get them all assembled and square on work place. I found using block to hold clamps open allowed me to get boards placed inside all clamps. Once they're all in and aligned remove blocks and tighten clamps simultaneously keeping them together. Make sure to wax wood or use wax paper to keep glue off the clamps. Once removed from clamps had very minimal sanding to flatten panel. They are a bit pricey when adding to clamps and wood to assemble. Less expensive than the competition.
Good clamps

Very Good once you know how to use

They are a little goofy in the beginning to handle. Once you get acquainted and learn how they work they produce amazing glue ups! Attached is a 15/16ths" Ash-Hickory glue up for a cutting board. They hold solid and steady no complaints!!!
Most Economical 4-way Clamp on the market

I milled my own culls (American White Ash) @ 1-1/2" X 1-1/4" X 24". Also upgraded all hardware to Stainless Steel, #12 X 1-1/4" Phillips Head wood screws and #6 X 3/4" Phillips Head wood screws. These clamps are made of steel w/ cast iron handles. I have not used them yet. I have no concerns they won't do the job, in fact two sets of two were purchased. Satisfied.
