- •- DOESN'T WASH OFF! - You've done it over and over again. You buy the new magical product that claims it lasts "a long time" (whatever that means) and you spend a bunch of time applying it, greasing up rags, squirting it all over the place and by the time you get a couple days of rain, you're back to where you started. We'll make you a deal. If Cerakote Trim Coat washes off within the first 200 washes, we'll give you your money back! STOP WASTING YOUR MONEY on cheap products that don't last!

What's the secret to Trim Coat? We'll be straight-up because we develop, manufacture, package and ship all our products here at Cerakote HQ where we have in-house, world-class chemists. Trim Coat is a CERAMIC based product that brings out the pigments and bonds to your plastic. That's science.

Works great!! Make sure to tape off the area

Used on a most all the plastic trim pieces on a 1998 Ford Explorer, and it looks fantastic. Better than new. Provides a protective ceramic coat layer, than makes it shine!! Only thing I would recommend is making sure you don't get it on the car's paint or areas that you don't intend on putting it, because it will leave a subtle shine on those areas of the car. So if you're using on trim around the window- just tape around the window, so you don't accidentally get it on the window.
Exceeds expectations/hides scratches

I'm genuinely impressed with how glossy my trim looked after this. I have a 22 WRX with only 5000 miles, but I noticed the skirts had scratches and scuffs on them I could not get off with normal cleaning. Well... this product did it. They're still there, but they're perfectly concealed under the shine. I'm blown away. Will definitely use again.
Must have

If you have black plastic outside parts like my Jeep fenders this is the best product made. Have tried everything on the market and nothing comes close to these. Seems to last forever without fading. Best to use rubber glove when rubbing on. Each pad lasts about two fenders on my Jeep so use that a point of reference. Nothing comes close and would highly recommend.
Avoid streaks…

Use the gloves, OR, use your own nitrile gloves like I did for BETTER GTIP AND CONTROL of the wet wipe that this product uses as it's applicator. That said, it is VERY easy to streak this product, as you will never get uniform pressure with your hand or finger tips.
My vehicle is a 2008 Nissan Xterra, lots of plastic bumper material.(see photos).
I used all but 1 remaining pad. It was enough for two applications on the two rear quarters and front bumper, (second coat hopefully diminished the streaks). The second application went way smoother with less friction from the previously "thirsty" dry plastics.
Time will tell, so far I'm satisfied with what I see. There was a day between coats, enough to see it in sunlight in several parking lots and decide on round two the next day. If it lasts 200 wash cycles I'll go ahead and predict a year of low abuse endurance"¦a good value if that holds true.

YOU NEED AT LEAST 2 BOXES!
catherine r.✓ Verified Purchase•July 7, 2023
I purchased this for my 2013 Wrangler. I wish I'd purchased 2 boxes. 10 wipes isn't enough to cover all 4 fenders, and both bumpers, let alone handles, hood latches, etc. I would rather have paid twice as much to get enough wipes in one box, than to buy one box, assuming it was all I'd need, and not have enough to complete the job. It takes at least 2 wipes per fender, more if you don't want streaks (applying it heavily helps prevent streaking, you just don't have enough wipes in one box to do that). Maybe selling it in a squeeze bottle, with a sponge to apply it, might be a better option? It could be applied more heavily, to avoid streaking, and you might not run out in before getting everything coated (this is why I gave the "style" only one star). I just did it today (looks decent so far), and have ordered 2 more boxes so I can fully coat everything that needs it, so don't know the longevity yet. Fingers crossed...
