This cage is amazing for its price. You can fit probably like 8 big chickens in here. I have 6 chicks & 3 ducks. They're about 2 or 3 weeks old so they're still small. I will be putting them in here in the day time and at night I will put them back inside. The green tarp that comes in this package is a bit cheap but it'll do for now. But this cage is so easy to put together, all you need is pliers & someone else to help you and you're good to go. You can add it to a wooden chicken coop easily. We will be adding a chicken coop to it in the future. Buy it if you're thinking about buying it !!😊 the measurements to it are CORRECT (: so measure your space before you buy.

These are perfect for young birds, they can break apart easily and can be joined together easily, I bought 2 and put them into an L shape with the open doors as access, I added a heavy tarp to protect from the sun and rain during the day when my young pullets are outside. It's a great in between cage when they are too big for the broader but not old enough to go in qith the adults. This would also be a great chicken tractor to move around the yard if you added wheels however 2 people can pick it up and move it if you don't have wheels. It's a great deal and keeps your birds safe, I would not use it over night without serious reinforcement.

We are new to raising chickens. When the chickens went outside after living in their brooder- setting this up as a play yard adjacent to the coop was so easy, we were immediately worried a raccoon would figure it out. That was 8 weeks ago and so far, so good. The gates stick a little bit, but it is more of a safety feature than a glitch. One suggestion was to ziptie all the corners in place- we highly recommend that. There is a bar across the middle the short way, which has been a great perch for the chickens. We have 5 chickens, so this has been impressively strong for their combined weight of about 30lbs. We lift and move the coop and play yard (we call this The Chicken Play Yard) every 1-2 weeks so our grass isn't completely destroyed. For 2 of us, it lifts incredibly easy when we move it, yet it doesn't flinch in a summer storm and, when given free roam, the chickens go on top of it without the structure struggling with their claws or flapping if there are a few of them on top. Overall, as newbies- this was easy to assemble and has been a great value. I don't know that it is our long term plan or how long it will survive. for $100, 1-2 seasons seems within reason.
