I'll be honest, I bought this kit for the macro lens. I was impressed with the photos other reviewers shared and I figured I'd give it a try. Well, it doesn't disappoint. My only regret is not buying it sooner.
The set comes with a clip that holds the lenses to the phone camera. Center the clip, screw in the lens, and you're good to go. I make sure not to have the lens covers off for too long so I don't get dust or worse, smudges and scratches on them. I only take the bottom cover off as I'm about to screw in the lens, and I don't remove the lens cap until I'm ready to take pictures. When I done, I immediately put them back on and back into the box. Haven't used the small pouch yet, the box is convenient enough. I have tried the lenses both with and without my slim case and haven't noticed too much of a difference. It's not terribly inconvenient to remove the case, so that's not a deal breaker for me.
Now for the pictures. As I said at the beginning of the review, I bought this set for the macro lens and WOW! It's exactly what I've been looking for. Pictures are clear and sharp as a tack. I'm still trying to figure out the best positioning for the clip/lens, but I'm really pleased with how close I'm able to get to my subject. I do have to keep the subject centered as there seems to be blurring or distortion the further you get from the center, but that's ok by me. I'm still playing around with it, so it may be user error.
The photos I'm sharing here are not zoomed in, nor cropped, and only edited to add text. In all, I am really quite pleased with this purchase.
