After 33 years, I needed to replace my Rowenta iron. I like it but there's a couple things I don't like. Filling the water chamber is awkward and hard to do without spilling water. I'm visually impaired and find it difficult to see water level and read the settings dial. It would be easier if the water chamber and setting dial were white.
I feel like I'm in a spa steam room when I use my new Rowenta iron

I sew and quilt A LOT! I did quite a bit of research on steam irons before I purchased this Rowenta iron as I wanted an iron that would produce massive amounts of both heat and steam. It was a toss-up between an iron with the built-in water tank and one with the larger, separate water tank. I originally was leaning towards the separate tank iron because of the much larger tank capacity which, in theory, should give me the volume of steam needed for my projects but since I don't have a dedicated ironing area, the logistics of setup and need for portability won out.
I love everything that this Rowenta offers with one exception: for me, the automatic shut off time is not very long (about 8 mins. I think) and I am always having to wait for the iron to reheat. Other than that, the extra long cord, the placement of the heat selection dial, the larger (than most other brands') water tank, the higher watts for easier ironing, the copious steam that it produces thru that wonderful soleplate replete with several hundred holes, ease of cleanup, all make it an excellent choice for the busy sewist. I also like that the water used in it is from the tap and not bottled.
I currently have an 8 yr old Shark steam iron that still works (it's a really good one, too) but this Rowenta makes the Shark look like a primitive iron. I guess my husband gets my old iron because I really, really, really like my new Rowenta iron, and like my dedicated sewing scissors - no one else gets to use it!

I rarely iron, but when I do, I need it to be seamless. The Rowenta is sleek, highly manageable with outstanding features, especially safety related. The iron steams perfectly, I'm very satisfied🥰
Excellent Sewing Iron!

This Rowent iron sure lives up to its reputation. It is a little pricier than other irons but so worth it. I really like the quality of the outside and the way it functions. Very nice.
HORRIBLE
