It really all depends on what is causing your pain. This cushion is very good but it does not eliminate my tailbone pain. I'm not sure any cushion would as the slightest pressure on the tailbone results in pain. If the source of your pain is nerve related, your issues are more than the proper seat cushion.
I use this cushion in my car seat which is where I spend the longest time sitting. To earn five stars for me at least the product has to be perfect and that is a rarity.
Although I did not give it five stars I would recommend it as I've purchased three other different seat cushions and none of them are as good as this one.

I had a memory foam pad for a couple of weeks but my coccyx (excuse the expression) was beginning to hurt every time I got up from the seat. I noticed right away that this Waoa cushion was much firmer than my previous memory foam cushion. At first, I was concerned but now, after a few hours, I noticed that it's very comfortable and nothing hurts when I get up. The cutout in the rear of the cushion relieves the pressure on my tailbone. I think Im going to like this one!

Cushion is well made. Thickness is comfortable and alleviates my sciatica pain. The shape is good but for me it needs to be longer from front to back. I'm 5' 9"
