I bought this for my 12 year old. The quality is great, I love the reinforced edges to help keep it from fraying. This does take a long time to dry, but my daughter was over the moon. We waited to get her one till she was comfortable in the water and a decent swimmer. She figured out how to swim with it pretty quickly. I would not recommend this if you aren't already comfortable swimming.

My 7 yo mermaid LOVED her tail! She is a strong swimmer and has had a different fin for a couple years. This new fin tail and suit combo were her favorite! Photo is her on vacation. Material is thick plus easy to carry and clean. She put it on like pantyhose and removed (kick method) her tail easily. This is an easy YES! Because she swims hard and deep the reinforced tips are spot on!
