Dud - Money Not Well Spent

I am not sure what has happened to my generator. We bought it, tested it and put it in the storage.
We haven't had any major instances where we needed to use it. We brought it out when the ice storm occurred in our area Dec. 2022. Our first real use of it. It ran for 1 day but the starter switch would not work so we had to use the manual start it. Tell me why after about an hour, the generator just stopped.

Noise levels
Should have done more research✓ Verified Purchase•June 24, 2023
WARNING: The specifications indicate a noise level of 74dBA at half load but, that is 23' (confirmed by Pulsar) away from the unit. It is about 85dBA right in front of the unit with no load (measured by handheld meter). Pulsar can't/won't provide any additional data. Crossing my fingers that I can reduce the noise at the property line within local ordinance levels.
Perfect for ENTIRE house and home A/C

I've been doing my research for almost 3 months now, and finally decided to pull the trigger on this one. My neighbor got a different brand, but he only needed a 30 amp hookup because he did not think it would power the air conditioner. Well, now he is buying this exact same one. The electrician that did my 50 amp box and breaker was actually impressed also because he installs whole home generators. When I told him the price of this, he started looking it up on amazon. This thing starts super easy, and Powers my entire house of 2600 square feet and my air conditioner. I do have a new air conditioner, but it is a big AC unit. We also have LEDs throughout the house, a stand-up freezer, a refrigerator freezer, and a small refrigerator outside. We also have the normal tvs, microwaves, and the likes. This was able to power my whole house with the lights all on, watching tv, air conditioner rolling, and this unit did not even pick up. I wanted to test it out, and it ran 16 hours before I even thought about putting in a fuel in it. I will say this, you do need a 50 amp hookup, and don't be shell shocked when you see the cost of the cable. Also, you really should break it in. I ran oil in it for an hour, during the oil, and you can obviously see metal, which is absolutely normal. I did that three times, and on the third time, there was absolutely no metal. I ran it with the full load for an entire day, and when I drained the oil just to check it, the oil looked like it was brand new. I have not run it on propane yet, because that is just a backup. It is loud, but it's actually quieter than my husky 5000 watt that I am replacing. Very glad that I got this one, and I'm sure it will last a very long time. I think the best part is it has a metal tank on the top and a fuel gauge. It was very easy to put together, and I put it together in about 15 minutes by myself and wield it around the back. Very shocked that it only took about a week and a half to get here, and they dropped it right in front of my house. If you want to be prepared for Hurricane season, this one will do the trick and then some.

Very solid geny

Really like this geny, it runs very well and actually fairly quiet and I've done similar installs with the same size genys of westinghouse, duromax, durostar, and wen genys. All the bigger size around 12kw to 13kw. These things run an entire house as does this pulsar from fridge freezer well pump furnace AC lights TV. Everything. Put the entire load on this house and it barely made a hiccup. I utilized a 10 switch manual transfer switch kit from reliance and tapped into the existing LP of the house with a half inch flex hose. With this pulsar I really like the plainness of it. Simple electric start, manual choke which isn't needed with LP or natural gas. Actually able to pull start it and the outside air temp was 40F. No extra idle control or fancy switches that can and will break. Just a very simple and easy geny to run and keep running.
