I really like this rum cake, especially when I drown it in spiced rum. Yes, I like my rum cake stiff. I've had homemade rum cakes that were better but as far as store or bakery bought goes, I really like this one.

The cake is very small about by 50%. The rum taste to strong by my mouth.
It's a moist cake, a small piece goes a long way as it's heavy but somehow it works with this cake. So it will go a long way. Taste is good not too sweet. Just the to strong rum thing but you might like it. You are ordering a rum cake after all.
The price is commensurate with our time but a bit high for my budget, holidays.

The last piece of cake was better than the first and the cake lasted a week moist. The rum calmed down.
PS found out, after opening it up let in sit in the box 24=hours. The rum taste will come back to good.
If it's a gift make sure they like lots of rum.
