I got a large and it is a little bit big but that is ok because you can easily fit a hoodie or sweater under with other layers for those extreme cold days. Definitely keeps you warm as I was outside in 34 degree weather for a hour and didn't even get a chill and walked to my daughter's bus stop this morning and stayed warm and I'm always freezing so that is a huge plus! This jacket is perfect for Michigan weather when the weather changes 3 times a day. It's not too heavy or too light. A little heavier than a shell jacket. I wear a medium and bought a medium and it fits perfect. If you have a bigger neck and head the hood may be tight when it's up and fastened.

In 47 degrees wealther with nothing but a tshirt underneath it did really good have not washed it much seems to hold up haven't experienced rain or winds yet just walking outside. Great gift to my self and a fair price a little on the bulky side but it's fine for layers underneath .
