I use almost once daily, on average. Started with 2x day application for feet. You MUST move around and drink water for the cream to be more effective, I have found. It is intended as a 21 day use period, unless otherwise directed by your medical provider. I take a day or two break here and there. My feet were volcanic and dramatic. This product helped chill things out over time, to managable conditions.

My doctor told me to apply this 4 times a day, however I was only able to do twice daily. After 1 month of use, I had a bout of very bad diarrhea and bloating, and it lasted for 2 weeks until I stopped using this cream.
I didn't know what was happening to me. The first thing I did was to stop taking all medication, except this Volteran, and food that I thought might be responsible. No improvement even after taking all kinds of anti-diarrhea pills. Then it dawned on me that my stomach upset seemed to start after I used this cream. I stopped using this cream and that did the trick. When I told my doctor, she was not aware of this problem. So I don't know if I am allergic to this cream, or maybe I didn't wash my hands well enough after I used it, or just a coincidence, but if you have any of this similar thing happens to you, stop using it to see if it helps.

I like this cream very much! I've tried so many other creams for my bad knees, this one seems to give me more relief! It's a little pricey, but you get a lot in the tube and it comes with a dose marker to use also.
