I've wanted one of these bad boys for quite some time but wasn't willing to put in the initial investment. After doing some research on which drum is a good intro into the craft I came along to this one. Highly recommend. Beautiful sound. Such a good vibe!!

I purchased this for my husband for his birthday with a bit of worry and trepidation. It seemed too good to be true. He bought me a small tongue drum for my birthday 2 months ago and from there has become pretty much obsessed with this world of "zen drumming"( I don't know what to call it-lol) and things have escalated quickly with him purchasing a idiopan domina but still being consumed with the sound of hang drum. We have been looking around and they seemed pretty well out of our reach for something that is a new hobby not to mention no previous musical experience. I was pondering the larger idiopan or maybe a rav vast for his birthday but saw that Amazon had some more affordable hang drums. Most looked pretty dice-y to be honest. I started to do some research on Asteman on youtube and online and found that even though these appear to be made in China they seemed to be of good quality and handmade and even more enticing they were offering one of their drums on Prime with next day delivery. I threw caution to the wind and nervously placed my order- I mean, even though this is a "steal" compared to other hang drums it is still a pretty good chunk of change! We just had this delivered today, right on time, and were absolutely floored with the sound and beauty of this thing! My husband was immediately making the most beautiful music! The finish is much more beautiful than the photograph in my opinion and to my untrained ear sounds as lovely and resonant and harmonic as any of the expensive ones you see. They don't seem to offer any tuning other than D minor whereas the high profile companies offer all sorts of tuning variations but that is the one that is most appealing to my ear anyway and appears to be the most user friendly. All of the extras such as the bag, stand, braided cover, sticks and such are appreciated in that he has everything he needs right out of the box. Oh, and everything was perfectly packaged in a custom box. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is wanting to get one of the these drums but daunted by the price of most of them.

I'm begging to learn. All I can say is. I find its quality of sound just as expected. I received it on day ahead. I've used every item it comes with. And I'm enjoying my investment Very much.

I love the sound of handpans and hang drums. Since I've been sitting at home so much lately (thanks covid) I figured it would be a neat instrument to learn. However I found they can be quite expensive depending on the materials used. I decided to search for a nitride steel drum because they are generally cheaper and I am only a beginner... no need to invest the big bucks yet.

In my search I came across the Asteman brand handpans and started looking Into them. The reviews were good, the price was right, they offer some neat color options and I was even able to hear the drum played on their YouTube channel. Sold!

The drum is very easy to learn, really! Just start thumping on it in different ways and places and it makes a wonderful sound. I also liked that it has 10 notes; most of the other drums in this price range only had 9.

The mallets are nice but I prefer using my hands. The stand is also nice but I prefer setting the drum in my lap. The case is basic but functional and protective. The color doesn't look exactly the same as what is pictured in the product listing but it is pretty and unique.

Overall I am very pleased with this drum. If you are thinking about getting one I would recommend considering this brand.

as tenman makes a great handpan for value....she is pretty and in tune and 432hz is sweet indeed...semi pro quality....spend a bit more for this one and cant go wrong..
