almost the same as the one my doctor uses
flinx✓ Verified PurchaseJuly 31, 2023
looks exactly like the one my doctors use for sleep studies, just different logo on the screen. software is pretty easy to use. reports are easy to read and understand.

only complaint is it causes my finger to itch after 1 or 2 uses. don't know if I have an allergy to the rubber used or it's just too tight. it is too tight on all but my ring or pinky finger. I'm 6'2" and have big hands so it either pinches a nerve or cuts off circulation on other fingers. Same thing happens with the "medical grade" ones.

because of the itchiness I cannot use it for more than a day or 2 with 5 to 10 days for my finger to stop itching. My doctor reviewed the report when I did a sleep study with their equipment and mine. she reported mine was "less sensitive" but I have not seen her report to compare.
This Ring Was A Game-Changer For Addressing My Sleep Apnea
Sewickley Reader✓ Verified PurchaseJuly 31, 2023
I have moderate sleep apnea. While this device is not approved by regulators for apnea, it is the only thing I am using to treat it currently, and my sleep physician has approved this. The results have been amazing.

I formerly had a BiPAP machine. When I first got that machine, I used it religiously for about four years. The results were so-so in terms of how sleepy I felt during the day. During my fifth year of BiPAP use, I subconsciously began to rebel against the BiPAP machine during my sleep. I would wake up with a mask ripped off. I just really began to hate that machine with a passion, and felt that the mask was like a plastic octopus glued to my face.

Enter this ring. I bought it with some skepticism, but some hope that it could help. I used it for about two weeks with amazing results. I clearly had some major apnea events while I was asleep, judging from the included smart phone app. The buzz/vibration from the ring woke me up during the apnea event. (That is, my low blood oxygen level triggered the vibration, and such a low level is a clear signal that I have stopped breathing "“ the hallmark of an apnea event.)

So I called my sleep physician and asked to have an overnight home sleep test after explaining the situation. In short, I had the sleep test and had a score better than most healthy people without apnea. It turns out that in my case, my apnea seems to occur when I sleep on my back. This ring buzzes when my oxygen level becomes low, and I've learned to shift on my side and sleep on my side. This virtually eliminates the apnea.

My sleep physician agreed that my results were extremely encouraging, and told me I could just use the ring instead of the BiPAP. We agreed I would do an annual home sleep test to ensure that the ring continued to help me.

I have been using the ring for approximately three months. I honestly believe I am getting better results than when I had the BiPAP machine. I feel more rested.

While I am not a doctor, and while my physician is not your physician, in my opinion this ring can be a game-changer for many of those suffering from sleep apnea. For about 160 bucks, it's worth a try! (Make sure your physician okays stopping BiPAP or CPAP, however!)

BTW, I also use a magnetic sleep ball I bought on Amazon. It is a hard foam ball that splits in half and has a magnet in the center. I place it on a T-shirt in the center of my back. This has helped me with my positional training. (It encourages me to sleep on my side.) Combined with the ring discussed above, and as stated above, my results have been favorable indeed.
Great costumer service 👍

I bought 3 of these and one started to malfunction, I noticed the service card for 1 year warranty in the box. The got back to me quick and sent out a replacement. They do want you to ship back the broken one. Which they didn't tell me till later so I had already tossed it. The product is awesome 👠highly recommend.
Works really good for me!

I read a lot of reviews for this O2 Ring and I have not been disappointed at all. They seem to continue working an updating the software which is nice. I read many reviews complaining about the band failing but I have not had any trouble. I have rather big hands so I wear it on my pinky finger to avoid stretching the back or breaking it. It may read a point lower but that's not a big deal to me. When my O2 drops below 87 it vibrates and wakes you up (lightly), able to fall right back to sleep after I move positions. I left at a hotel and was not able to get it back and I have purchased another one, I feel it's that important for my health, to CPAC needed. Highly recommend!! By tapping the ring it displays Time, O2 Level, and Heart rate.
Accurate and easy to use.

Last night was my first using the ring. So I cannot speak to long term use. However this ring already paid for itself. If you hace ever had the at home o2 test your Dr gives you, this is much better. Last week I had the Dr send me home with a or watch and finger clip. He said I spent all together, 1 hour each night below 88 on my O2 which is alarming. Mostly because I only sleep 5 hours. So that was 1/5th of my time under 88. With 2 L of oxygen! So he was going to charge me for another 2 nights after I turned my oxygen up. So this test result you see, is with me receiving 3L of oxygen.
The software is the only problem. I had read the reviews so I had a heads up. It's not super easy to set up. When your smart phone goes to sleep, the reporting will stop. So you need to get into the developer menu in a Android phone anyway... and set it to always stay on while charging. Then charge your phone while you sleep with it next to your bed. I am ok with messing around with my Samsung phone so it was not hard for me. I turned the screen brightness down really low. Turned the ringer off.
I do not remember the ring vibrating and waking me up. I set the alerts on the app to wake me up if I go lower than 86 o2. Otherwise I was worried it would keep me up all night.
As for accuracy, while I was awake I tested it against my clip on o2 sensor, and they were the same within 1 point.
You need to open the app and connect the ring to your app not your phone. But you can't have the ring on while it connects...
The app is easy to use but you have to take the ring off and let the night after midnight download then read your report. At first I thought I only had a couple minutes of reports.
Secondly you have to figure out how to set your smart phone to "stay awake only while charging" then plug your phone in. I did that by getting into the developer menu. Then you have to open the app before you go to sleep and leave it open.. And set my screen brightness to almost as dark as it would go.
If it could have storage in the ring, then we could download the data in the morning and not have to make sure our app is open all night.
Now it might do that.. and I was just understanding it wrong..I will update this review if it does. Which I am going to check out today.
