works great cutting grass, short or tall

i have about 1/8 of an acre in wild grasses and have always used a japanese hand sickle to cut the grass. i could buy a weed wacker or an electric lawn mower to mow the grass but i prefer the hand sickle for the exercise and it's cheap. works well as long as you keep the sickle sharp. i do though have to get down on my knees to cut the grass with a hand sickle so i thought i'd get a scythe but a good one is over $200. so when i saw this sickle advertised i thought if i can use it standing up it's worth the price which is 3-4x what a regular japanese sickle costs. so i've tried it once and i can use it standing up, i do have to bend a little. i seem to be able to cut grass twice as fast and with less effort compared to other sickles i have used this is due to being able to cut a wider swath and being incredibly sharp and maybe because the cutter is a little heavier. for the amount of grass i have to cut it is well worth the price. it exceeded my expectations.

I really like this item. I bought another kind it was so cheaply made. The only change I would make is where the blade attaches to the handle. It bends sometimes to the side. But this thing cuts awesome. Wackos those little trees and the weeds like butter.

Used this little beauty to hack thourgh the thick weeds in my backyard. It worked great my only complaint is the handle needed to be alittle longer. I would recomend this for anybody who looking to clean up thick weeds.
