Was surprised at the box the hot plate was in. It was ripped open and had been taped shut on both ends. It was creased and the plastic bag the hot plate should have been in, was balled up inside the box. There was supposed to be a protective sticker on it, but there wasn't. There's residue on the plate itself. I will probably be returning this, as I have no idea why it had been returned. I prefer having a new item.
