Husband was taking Metamucil for years and really didn't help. He had an organic acids test done and came back with high citric acid . It could be from drinking Metamucil every day We got this to try instead and already seeing GREAT results. Years of marbles and hard stools. Maybe the citric acid was irritating the intestines or drawing fluid away from from intestines ? He reports much improvement using Benefiber. I would like to to know more about how it works.
