I bought this and the next day saw compost at the store for 2 bucks so i decided to cancel my order on this. BUT i decided to keep it and its very high quality. It is black and i mized it into the earth with the 2 dollar compost and a bunch of other amenities and the soil looks amazing! i have a feeling our fall crop will be a bumper crop!

This is some of the best compost available on amazon. Probably in the top 2 for me so far. The difference between this and my other favorite compost I've found on amazon, blue ribbon, is that the wakefield seems more biologically live, lots of what I'm guessing is mycorrhizae. The blue ribbon is a dark black compost perhaps more bacteria dominant, wakefield is a dark brown / dark black mix compost with white strands and flecks denoting a more fungal dominant compost. I say get both, along with some biochar. Always remember to charge the biochar with the compost (mix biochar with compost, and/or vermicompost aka earthworm castings, and let sit at least 24 hours, spray a tiny amount of water to encourage inoculation) and/or a liquid bacterial inoculant such as EM1.
