So far I'm REALLY impressed with this unit
Compliance✓ Verified Purchase•December 29, 2023
First, I should state that I have worked in Public Safety for nearly two decades - selling Law Enforcement dash cam systems. These are the high-end police units. So I wasn't expecting 'much' when I bought this for my 2020 F250 Super Duty. I have so far been VERY pleasantly surprised! The video quality is superb and the installation was straightforward and logical. All three cameras (forward-facing, interior, and rear-facing) are of good quality, and the provided 3M automotive double-sided mounting tape is the premium quality stuff. Here are some installation tips/notes:
BEFORE YOU APPLY POWER TO THE MIRROR - ensure ALL cameras are plugged in. If the are not, the display will not present correctly causing you to think there is a problem with the unit. The instructions clealy state this as well. Make sure all cameras are plugged into the mirror first. This will eliminate false-fails.
Front Camera - make sure the mirror display is on BEFORE sticking the camera to the windshield. This way you can ensure the camera is centered in terms of its field of view. Also, the mirror/display in touch-sensitive and you CAN ADJUST the camera picture up and down by swiping up or down. This is a great "fine-tuning" for framing the picture. Again, read the instructions first - most of this is covered in detail.
Rear Camera - the rear camera cable is equipped with a red trigger wire. This wire - if connected to your reverse light (white light that illuminates when you put the vehicle in reverse) - will cause the rear camera to override your mirror settings and show you the rear camera only - when in reverse. If your vehicle already has a reverse camera you can choose to NOT connect the red wire and the rear camera will function normally at all times without overriding.
Recording - all three cameras recording simultaneously at all times while power is applied to the mirror. You have the option of recording the audio also. Recommend audio be left "on" so that in the event of an incident you can narrate details to the recording. It also will capture anything someone says if they are in close proximity to your vehicle. For example - someone rear-ends you.. they come up to your window and say "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I took my off off the road for just a second..." Well they just admitted fault and you now have it recorded. The downside - when you string together those expletives upon impact - those are recorded as well so be mindfull.
Micro SD Card - I run a 128GB Sandisc Level 10 card. It works flawlessly, In fact, I have (2) of them and swap them once per month. This gives me the flexibility to reformat the card(s) at my convenience. It is advisable to reformat the cards after a month or so. Recommend using the Standard formatting option - NOT the "Qucik Format". this will greatly extend to life of your SD cards and ensure the recordings are error free. I use the "3 minute" clip length option (in settings) and those clips are very manageable.
Optional power adapter - In my opinion, the optional power adapter should have been included with the kit but that's not a show-stopper. Highly recommend the optional power adapter though - especially for permanent mounting of this system. This is the ASIN for that part B08GQXF32D (copy that number and paste into the Amazon search bar and it will pull it up)
I've had the system up and running for a couple of months now and it has performed perfectly. For the price point this really is the best system out there in my opinion.
DISCLAIMER - this review is my honest, UNSOLICITED impression of this system. I do not review on request nor have I or will I recieve anything of value from anyone for posting this review.

First of all, I decided to purchase this device to alleviate my anxiety and worries regarding the lack of evidence to supply the potential car accidents.
Upon installing the device, I was surprisingly impressed. This device has surpassed my expectations. I used to check my side mirrors before changing the lanes or have to look back to ensures that no vehicle or motorcycle was in my blind spot.
The 3 Camera System solved all of my issues and I frequently use it to change my lanes. It is genuinely a peace of mind product that spoke for itself. You will not be disappointed with this product.
Enjoy the joyride!

Stop the presses! The true dashcam mirror has arrived, and plans to stay!!
So, I have been trying for years to find a camera that provides the quality and characteristics I wanted:
Stable recordings. No vibrations while watching it ubiquitously or later at home.
Easy to use interface.
Robust and not battery drainer.
Video monitor of quality on diverse situations:
Rain: color differentiation
Night: deal with night vision while also dealing with other cars headlights to prevent blinding.
Sunset and sunrise. Deal with the sunlight while still delivering quality that allows to differentiate effectively the other cars in the road.
Wide view from the back, facilitating the shift of lanes.
Super easy to install, being the method of choice the cigar adapter or the hardwire kit.
People don't be afraid of the hardwire kit! It is dummy proof and adds so much to the functionality. For instance, my car (Jetta 2019) does not have a ACC setting. So, I would not be able to use the parking monitoring without the hardwire kit.
The things to consider in the future are:
If you install the rear camera inside the cabin, you might experience some glare back from the cars own rear windshield. I would attempt placing it outside if possible.
This model does not provides Lane departure warning or blind spot monitoring. It would be a nice addition in a future firmware (wink wink).\
The recordings are stored in a SD card. It would be nice if the mirror somehow would let you know in real time when an event occurred while parked.
Finally, the company support is amazing. I thought they wouldn't really care about customer 500k, but they do!. They have followed up better than I do some of my personal emails myself. Truly surprised with the great customer support.
As of today I continue to enjoy the system. I even sent one to my parents back in Chile and they love it.
Hope you enjoy.

I've tried a cheap mirror and sent it back. I used the Akaso DB9 for 6 months. Then I upgraded to the Akaso DB12. I was very happy with that mirror and skeptical of this one. It did not disappoint. The night vision of the rear camera is way better. Headlights do not wash out the entire view. I love the detached front camera because it allows better positioning of the view and better fit over the factory mirror. The GPS speed was dead on and did not need to be adjusted. The only improvements I would like to see are as follows...
1. Color night vision camera on inside view
2. WiFi capability to download videos
3. The ability to see ONLY the inside camera and rear camera simultaneously without the front view.
4. Be able to turn off the compass/speedometer in the left lower corner. It's distracting.

Discrete dash camera replacement

I bought this dash cam mirror to replace a dead Blackvue DR650GW-2CH. It has been installed in a 2000 Ford F350.
I decided to go with this for a couple of reasons:
1. The regular mirror did not work well because the rear glass has really dark tint.
2. I have many other accessories in the line of sight from the regular mirror to the rear glass.
Today is the first day I have driven the vehicle with the mirror dash cam active. It seems to be working well so far. My rearward vision is vastly improved already.
