Great budget option

If you're building a bike or replacing a damaged crank, this is a great budget option. It's not much heavier than cranks that cost 4x this one. I would first recommend looking in the used market for a carbon or entry level Shimano or Sram crank, but if none are available, buy this with confidence.
Con: the bottom bracket provided is absolutely unusable. The crank itself is worth the $50 price tag but DO NOT USE THIS BOTTOM BRACKET! The bearings seem to have play so you'll find your crank slipping at least once every revelation. I wish it didn't come with this crank and had a list pricing drop by the cost of the bottom bracket.
It fits the same bottom bracket as shimano's hollowtech (24mm spindle diameter) so there are plenty of better BB options.

Not all chains work with this. KMC makes a chain called Z8.3 It's an 8 speed chain that is 7.3mm wide. The links are shaped in a way that allow for the teeth to enter and exit the chainring without getting hung up. So far this is the only chain I've found that works. As a lifelong mechanic beginning on Military jets, an avid bike enthusiast, and as a bike builder"¦.. I at times will roll the dice with items like this to see if they're any good. This one is good. However it may not work with some multiple speed bikes unless your chain can handle this ring. The teeth on this crankset are very wide, single speed fixie bikes typically have a wider chain roughly 9mm. I would imagine there's no issue there.. I was attempting to use this as part of a simple 1x7 shimano drivetrain with KMC Z7. Most 7/8 chains are 7.1 mm and 116 links. When the chain exits the bottom it would hang up on the teeth until the derailleur tension either yanks it back or the chain wraps around itself which isn't really safe either way. I had a Z8.3 I hadn't used yet so I tried it and was fine"¦I did read a review stating after a couple miles it was ok once the paint wore off, but I'm making new bikes for retail so that won't work."¦.
Great crank set but grabage chainring

The threaded crankset worked out great on my son's 26" frame. The main reason I got the Ganopper crankset is because the crank arms were all black with no logos on it. Very clean looking. Everything with the kit was great, except the 32T chainring that comes with it is garbage and doesn't work.
The teeth on the chainring does not even look narrow-wide. I tried different Shimano chains on it, from 7/8s to 10s chains (different widths) and they all had lots of play and were very loose on the crank. When you start pedaling, the chain would begin to jump on the chainring, which was pretty dangerous. I bought a $12 JGbike chainring and the narrow-wide teeth were immediately noticeable to see - very different compared to the generic chainring that comes with the Ganopper crankset. I wish I took pictures to compare the 2 chainrings, but I was upset with the chainring that came with this kit that I threw it out. We've had zero issues with the JGbike chainring, and now the crankset upgrade ( went from a 3x7 to 1x9) was well worth it for my son.

Easy cranks to setup

Nice cranks. Bottom bracket looks standard and shouldn't be a problem. Installed snug and fairly easily. The chain ring makes a lot of noise especially when at a higher gear but I suppose that's the nature of the narrow wide tooth setup for chain retention. Not sure if other reputable cranks/chain rings make noise as well.
Good product.

I have had these on my hardtail for a while now and put them through a lot of abuse on the trails. The crank arm wiggled a bit loose once after several weeks of riding but I can't say that wasn't my fault for not checking the torque after a few rides. Tightened up and it has all performed flawlessly. No complaints at all.
