I love these because they cover your foot with "ice" and keep the cold in just the right spots (achilles, heel, ball of foot, top of foot). They only stay cold for about 20 min so you can fall asleep without worry about icing too long. I don't really use the white band. Also, they will freeze without removing the ice packs. Just put the entire sock in the freezer. (Use a plastic bag to store the socks in the freezer to keep dust/hair out of the freezer.) I even took these on a cruise to use after excursions days with strenuous hikes. They will travel with me from now on! Even in a hotel/cabin mini-fridge they get nice and cold!!

I love them. I have Erythromalagia. My feet get very hot, very red look like 2nd degree burn, feels like Rubberband around them. Tingle and just awful feeling. So I have to keep them from cool to cold. Summer when hot and humid isn't a friend. Shoes with socks in summer not friend. These are a blessing.

I absolutely love these. I have been using them every night since they came in the mail last week. My feet are always hot, itchy, and painful. Im on my feet from 7 am till past 9 at night most days. I love laying on the couch and putting the socks on, and depending on which part of my feet are hurting, inserting an ice pack on it. I bought these because I have Gout flares and icing my feet helps tremendously when in the middle of one. The sock itself is very soft and comfortable. The ice packs need to be perfectly flat when you refreeze them or they are very difficult to insert. The packs don't stay cold very long so if you need them for both feet at the same time like I sometimes do you don't get that much relief. Maybe buy a second pair.
