We recently moved to the Dallas outskirts this year. Spent the last 38 years in Southern California with low humidity and was not prepared for the hot and humid summer. This unit was great and really helped in keeping the environment pleasant. In the beginning I emptied the tank 4 times a day which I think helped take the load off my A/C units. It comes with a pump and plastic tubing to run the extracted water directly outside, to a tub or wherever so you don't have to worrying about emptying the reservoir. You have many controls to suit your own needs. Reminds you to clean the dust filter too. Gave the unit a 4/5 on noise but then it didn't keep me awake at night. It has wheels which makes it easy to roll around to where you want to use it. Very glad that I got this model. A little extra but then you get the built in pump and tubing.

We have a couple rooms in our house that have been storing things for almost 10 years and we have not turn the heat on in there in the last couple years or so, so, a lot of moisture has eventually accumulated in all the clothes and books and furniture and carpet. We started to show mildew on the exterior walls and in the closets which has been a big drag throwing out things or laundering things slowly removing everything from the room possible but what's left is the furniture and the carpet and the books so I wanted to try a dehumidifier . First, I had bought another company a small one that was designed to work for the square footage of my room, but it took a few days to get like a cup of water. But with this model, holy Toledo! With in less than six hours, it pulled out 22 pints of water. I bought the model that was designed to work in a 1500 square-foot area and I put two of them in each of the bedrooms that were barely 10 x 10 and for days upon days they each pulled out 22 pints of water, I was changing them twice a day for over a week once I got it down to finally 35% humidity and even lower I just continually ran them it took longer to pull more water out of the air but it made me feel like I was really pulling water out of the carpet and the books and the furniture "¦ It's really important to me to really dry out those rooms so that mildew will be kept under control. I plan to remove my carpet and treat some of the furniture. I also bought a mildew bomb from the bio side company, be sure to follow instructions properly! Require special air scrubber after killing mildew, because dead mildew spores are still toxic to humans. Going to clean the walls with hydrogen peroxide and vinegar. Still learning how I can clean the furniture without ruining the finish, but this dehumidifier is amazingly high-quality especially at a time where most people are used to buying things that aren't Madewell and we get so disappointed . You will not be disappointed with this item. I absolutely love it. No doubt when it starts raining moisture will try to move back in to my home but at least I will start from scratch with a very very dry room, L O L not like I want to live in 35° humidity unless of course I want to prematurely wrinkle , lol be sure to drink a lot of water if you're using these things for a while"¦ Well, heck drink water every day your body should be 70% water or health problems will happen. Wow, that's a lot of words and a lot of subjects but I hope you enjoyed it, I can't say enough about this product and the fact that it actually does pull water out of the air quickly that other little tiny dehumidifier I bought as a joke unless of course you want to burn up a bunch of electricity and run it in a tiny little closet . I'll be selling it at my garage sale.

I am so impressed with the product. My basement has always been a damp area and seemed to hold a lot of moisture. I have been reading reviews on the best dehumidifier and I came upon this one. Im not a impluse buyer, I do research especially for the price tag. I really wanted something simple, and easy to setup. Nothing that would require a lot of time but did the job. Let me tell you this is it. I noticed within a short period of time the water bucket was full. After a day or so of emptying gallons of water, I decided to just buy the hose for continuous use. My house feels so much better. The air feels cleaner it's awesome. No more basement mildew smell. No more moisture on the walls.
Noise level is awesome very minimal noise which is great.
Unit is a little heavy bulky but not to bad.

I show off this dehumidifier to everyone because I'm honestly so amazed at how well it works. I've bought several well-reviewed tabletop dehumidifiers that maybe take a few days to a week to fill up and thought that was normal and good. Now that I have this, it makes the smaller ones seem so inconsequential.

I live in a 1700sq ft apartment that was built in the 60s and in a very humid climate. My indoor humidity level with AC running could get up to the 70s, even after I had added some smaller dehumidifiers to the space. I placed this one in the middle of my apartment and it filled the 1.8G tank (registering mid-high 60s for humidity level) in the matter of hours. Incredible. There is a drain attachment but I don't use it because I don't have a great place to snake it to and also because I actually like manually draining the tank - I get a real kick out of seeing how much water gets removed from the air. The tank has a carry handle that makes it easier, but I recommend manually emptying where you can position the entire tank over the sink/tub - there's not an easy spout, so it will likely drip/spill from other areas as you pour. Honestly not a big deal at all.

It's been a few months now, and I leave this on turbo power 24/7. The read on humidity averages 43~55 now and the device is removing 3-4 gallons of water from the air PER DAY. This has honestly made the biggest difference in air quality and home comfort over anything that I've bought in the past year - I am so happy with the results. Even though it is large, the design is fairly sleek, so I don't find it intrusive at all. The turbo mode is about as loud as any other device, so it's just nice background white noise for me. When the humidity was at it's worst (>60%) - I could empty the tank 3x day. Now, it's more like 1-2x day (turbo mode 24/7). It helps my entire 1BD apartment feel so much better to be in.

If you have any kind of humidity issues - honestly get it. I love emptying out the tank - I typically pour it into my watering can to recycle the water for my plants. It works so well, it's been a few months and I'm still marveling at how effective it is.
