Great value for the price. My son has an electric filet knife that he paid over $200 for it. This one performs every bit as well as his, the only difference is that he got a couple of extra blades. I've used this several times and love the ability to use it ANYWHERE without an electrical cord. Just finished a camping trip where I fished and caught a mess of fish. I was able to clean them, with no problem. This is a good purchase...
Great fillet knife if you fix the trigger

I saw a lot of positive reviews and a bunch of 1 star reviews that state the trigger press sucks.
I ended up butchering my first fish due to the trigger issue. But me being mechanically inclided decided to dismantle the knife to find out why the trigger mechanism requires so much pressure.
Warning only do this you know what you are doing and the knife is unplugged from power.
To dismantle remove the 6 screws and carefully separate the top from the bottom. At this point if you push the trigger on the lower portion it works like it should thus indicating a problem in the design of the top portion. The rectangular area that fits over the knife mechanism is improperly designed so that part of a corner tab is in the way of the trigger mechanism by about a 1/16". To fix the problem I took a needlenose pliers and snapped off that smaller tab portion. See my photo. I then carefully put the 2 halves back together and tested the trigger. Works perfectly. Then I put the screws back in and again tested it.
Such a simple fix for a very annoying problem. I hope this helps out other purchasers who have also struggled with this issue.
