I love the price and that it is easy to maneuver when using. Heats up quickly and has a long cord so you have more room to work with your project. Only downside is I wish it had a tray to set it on when it has to be set down. So easy to use, even beginners can be very precise when using.
Great little soldering iron

I bought this soldering iron to solder wires to LED lighting strips for a kitchen install. It worked great. I really liked the variety of tips included with the iron, the temperature control dial, and the size of the unit fits really well in a smaller hand. Very happy with the purchase.
Learn how to properly manage a Soldering Iron Tip

Works great. Not the frills of a more expensive soldering iron. I just needed something in my tool box in case I needed one. Will get the job done. For beginners, who are looking into getting soldering, a decent iron. One of the biggest mistakes of beginners is buying a bunch of expensive tools. If you don't know how to use them, they are just as good as cheaper ones. Do yourself a favor and learn how to properly tin a soldering iron tip. If you plan on doing a decent amount of soldering. Get a flux pen or a flux paste syringe. Flux is your best friend, along with a properly maintained soldering iron tip.
Properly tin a tip
dip pin in Flux paste
Turn on iron when Flux is melting
Add some Solder
Clean the tip with a wet sponge or wash cloth
If you have a Stainless Steel Scrubber you can use that as well.
Just repeat the process, Flux, Solder, Clean with sponge, SS Scrubber.
You just want a layer of Solder to prevent oxidation. Either do this every time before turning the iron off or before starting. If you don't do this, You will have so much more problems trying to solder. You will go through tips much faster.
