I got this based on the chest measurements but the problem was that I could not even get the raincoat on due to the shoulder area being so small. So like I could get on one arm but it was impossible to actually fit into the coat. I would say this is not for plus sized women even if you get an XL. I'm normally a 3X and this was way too small for me. But if you are a regular XL it should fit. I've had better luck at my size getting a rain poncho! That I can fit into!!!

I needed something better than a cheaper ponch, and wanted something that had snaps, and a hood of course. I love the translucent black one, and it has a pouch, so packs down to very small. Has snaps on the cuff, which helps too. As stated, it is made from EVA material, which is soft and flexible thin "rubber like" material. The creases drop out the first time you wear it. I like it for travel, when I don't want to take a heavier rain jacket, when weather might change.
