all in all i would say this is a very fine machine, it works as described, though i would suggest that you might want to get a few extra remote controls, this is difficult to operate with out it and the remote that comes with it is very small and could EASILY get lost, because of the nature of this device i would suggest getting a few extra things to go with it:
1-the speakers are very small, expected with a portable device like this, this makes the sound that comes from the speakers not very good, so i suggest that you get yourself a good set of WIRED OVER THE EAR head phones, over the ear head phones help put in the sound in your ears and the foam padding helps block out some of the external sounds.
2-if there is going to be more than one person wanting to watch this player, i suggest that you get a headphone jack splitter to accommodate other wired listeners
3- if there is going to be more than one person watching this player, depending on the angle you watch from the picture quality will be a less, still watchable, but the greater the angle the worse the picture will be.

the way this was packed in the box it was shipped in had me worried that it might have ben damaged the box it came in was slightly damaged, but the device was undamaged thanks to the sturdy box it was in and the extra padding it was packed in.

if you are going to be carrying this around a lot, then i would suggest a carrying case, but if not, then the box it comes in will do fine BUT i do suggest that you keep the bubble wrap sleeve it comes in to help either way, it helps add protection to the player.

for some reason some DVDs will not play, or they will play just to a certain point, or they will play some episodes and not others, it has nothing to do with the machine it self, i have found this to happen on the cd/dvd burner that i have in my computer, if you have found this to be true then i might suggest that you find an older DVD player, something from around the 2010s maybe even the early 2000s i believe that the programs that the factories used to make the older DVDs have some sort of incompatibility with the newer players of today, so that is why i suggest that you try for an older DVD player and see if that will work.

i have verified that these will play on the player.
you can play from a flash drive, BUT, ***ONLY*** a 32GB max capacity drive AND ***ONLY*** MPG FILES, it will play the audio from mp4s and it will show text files and jpg files, that is all i have at the moment.

I decided to try a LEXAR 128GB jump drive to see if it would work, IT DID, i played a 831MB Movie Clip (.mpg) file, if you are going to try and read text files, MAKE SURE THEY ARE A +++Text Document (.txt)+++ these are generally made with windows note pad.

I have fallen in love with my new gadget. As I age, so does my eyes, but this little beauty has a large enough screen that I don't have to squint while watching it. It also has extra features that are quite useful. Best of all it's portable. It goes where I go.

While we liked this player very much (great screen size, good resolution, and great picture/audio) when we first got it, we had some problems with this DVD player not playing all our DVDs. Our DVDs are all US region (nothing fancy), but the player we received had internal coding which did not recognize all of our DVDs in the same way (had a slash for region code that could not be changed to zero). Customer service was prompt, kind, and helpful. They attempted to troubleshoot the issue with us before sending us a new player. I cannot enough nice things about the customer service from end to end of this transaction. I can't think of any time in recent memory that I have had someone go the extra mile to help and fix a problem in such a kind and courteous way. They were helpful, responsive, and committed to ensuring we would have a quality product and a quality buying experience. I would definitely buy from them again and recommend them to others looking for a good DVD player with a company that actually stands behind its products.

With its large, tiltable screen, this player works well for my morning DVD workouts when I'm traveling by car. (It's really too big to be practical when flying if you're carrying luggage on rather than checking a large suitcase.) The picture is good, and the player and remote (it IS small) are easy to use. Two complaints though: the volume, though sufficient for my workouts, is not as loud as I'd hoped. I can't imagine using this player with more than one person watching a movie or using it with headphones on an airplane. Also, although it's only 3 months old and always has been plugged into an outlet while in use, the player will no longer turn on if it's not plugged in. My old 15-year-old player came in handy a number of times when the power or the cable TV was out. It's disappointing that I'll have to use the old player next time this happens.

The setup procedures were very easy. The flexibility of moving the screen was very helpful too.

My wife took it to a dance class she attends and she had no problems at all with the DVD player. With the big screen; her classmates were able to view another one of their dances they had forgotten about. This device helped so they could practice dancing to the video.
