I was told black garlic helps to reduce blood pressure. Well, when I got it the aroma and taste blew me away. I peeled the skin off to a soft garlic bulb and this smoky smell and sweet dark garlic was delicious to taste. I eat it with my food and most times, by itself. My taste bubs enjoy them and I have introduced to others who enjoy the flavor.

I did not know what to think when I decided to try the fermented black garlic. It is certainly one of the most interesting and unusual items on Amazon. I wasn't skeptical about it but was definitely curious. And so, I purchased the fermented black garlic and oh, boy, was I pleasantly surprised! It certainly has a garlic flavor, once it is out of the hermetically sealed nice little box and out of its easily peeled shell. The taste is most unusual but pleasant. It can definitely be consumed on its own or eaten with salads, meats or fish. It is slightly chewy and just plain enjoyable. You have to taste it to believe what it can do for you. Yum!

I have been using this brand for about 3 months now, and I tried couple of different brands before this one. First of all, it is important to understand that this garlic is imported from Thailand. It means that it does not have cloves, it's a garlic bulb without cloves. Also, the original taste is a bit sweeter, and when fermented it's even more sweeter. I tried US brand before this one from wholefoods market and it tastes similar but much less sweet, which I believe is because most of garlic species you find in US do have cloves and less sweeter taste. The only thing I did not test is if it really helps with immune system and lowering blood pressure. I can say that the US brand did help with lowering blood pressure for 5-6 points but I did not try with this brand which I will soon.

It's sweet. It pairs good with (belive it or not) ICE CREAM and TEA! I tried it in a salad too. Gives a bit of sweetness with a small garlic hint. I'm absolutely in love with this product I'm afraid if eating too many in one sitting.

I've ordered this black garlic twice now and plan to continue buying it in the future. This is a good way to get all the benefits of eating garlic without the pungent aroma. It does take some of us a little longer to get used to the strange "jelly" like texture, but once you get past that, it's easy enough to eat a couple of cloves just as a snack. I keep the canister on the table with the salt and pepper. It's also nice cut up into scrambled eggs or fried potatoes. The taste is more sweet than regular garlic without that harsh after bite or strong breath usually associated with eating garlic.
