I bought this for myself in December. I missed my old one (different brand) that was lost in an accident a few years ago. After looking at dozens I finally just settled on this one.

First: It's missing a tire inflator. My previous one had one that plugged into the unit where the clamps do. I don't know why this company isn't offering this accessory. I would absolutely love to buy that separately now if one is made! Please make a *digital* inflator to go with this!! There is no reason not to!! GET ON THAT!

Second: Design is esthetically pleasing. It's pretty much exactly as expected. Love the folding handle. That was one of the two reasons I chose this model over the others from this brand. - Capacity and holiday sale price sealed the deal.

The only gripe I have with the unit itself is the light. I don't love the lens choice. The opaque aspect disperses the light in a anti-glare fashion (which is good), but the thickness isn't letting enough light out. It's surprisingly dim for how much power the unit holds; definitely underpowered that (there are no brightness settings). These factors need updating. Please keep the light in the 3000K - 5000K range. There is no reason to make it more blue. Any higher is BAD LIGHTING.
Edit: The "˜lens' isn't plastic or glass. It's semi-soft; it might actually be silicone.

Lastly: The case is big and bulky. I was hoping to store this in the cargo area of my WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but it's to big fit in any of the compartments back there. I ended up storing it under the second row driver side seat. That was the ONLY place it fit and even that is a little tight.
Edit: Size is important to note with this because, even though it is fabric, it's FIRM. It would probably pass a 5-10ft drop test without flinching.

I'll have to edit this with the hight and width, but for now: Case is a little over 11" long (see pic with tape measure).

There is extra space in the accessories 1/2 of the case. USB cables for other devices can definitely be added and kept in there, but it's more space than necessary. This case did not need to be this huge. Clearly it was decided to simply make it double the size of the unit + a little extra for that protective divider. This did not have to be. The case could have easily been at least 1-2 inches shorter and still have plenty of room inside for included and extra cables.

If you buy this one, when you first see the box - That is how large it is. There is ZERO packing material between the case and the paperboard box (as pictured). That is fine for shipping as the case is well constructed of durable materials"¦as long as nothing sharp punctures the box"¦So be careful cutting into it. DO NOT punch at it with a knife/box cutter/scissors. Just slice in along the edge of the box where it opens and you won't cut the case.

Functionality: Dumb luck had it that I got the opportunity to put it to the test right away. I took a long drive to meet up with friends and a random stranger had broke down in front of the person's house I was going to. I made the connections, unit powered up, green light came right on and the guy's large pickup truck started from dead on the first try. The status bars didn't go down. I fully believe the claims of the power of this unit. It will start any fuel burning vehicle big or small.

I do have some issues with this product, but they're limited and/or minor. The most important thing is that this is a quality, dependable piece of equipment that will save you should your vehicle break down due to power failure. Now they just need to make a compatible digital inflator (that can fit in all that extra space of the case) and they'll have a complete roadside power kit!

A co-worker highly recommended Avapow to me after my battery went dead , saw how simple to use and he explained all the features of his , and I must say I was sold , so I bought one , everyone needs to have stuff like this for their vehicles, it's a lifesaver , like that it's light in weight, LED light , that it comes in a case , price isn't bad , HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT ! It will take the worries away of having to wait for help !

So I purchased this and told my 17 year old son to throw it in the back of the truck. He did, but did not close the door all the way. A few days later went to use the truck and it was completely dead. Hooked this up and it started the truck right up. Didn't even hesitate. Here is some additional info about this battery jumper and about my truck.

The truck is a 2002 Ford F-250 with a 7.3 liter diesel engine and 2 batteries. See photo.

About the jumper. It took a little bit for me and most people to understand how you recharge this thing. It comes with a carrying case. In the case is the main unit, the jumper cables that plug into the unit, a very small (perhaps 9" or at most 1 foot) USB C cable and also an additional cigarette type adapter that plugs into the unit. Here's the deal. Look at the unit and you will see the USB C port. When your vehicle is running plug the little USB cord into the unit and into your phone charger on your vehicle. I have not tried this yet as I just figured it out but it should recharge the unit. That port says (input). Then there is a USB port next to it that can be used to provide power to things like your phone. Then there is the round plug that matches the cord for the cigarette type adapter. Plug that in to power 12v devises that are designed to work off your vehicles cigarette/ power port (like 12 volt fans and those fans you use to blow up rafts, air mattresses, etc. The unit came fully charged. As a bonus the cable clamps are really large and we're easy to attach to the battery.

And finally. You may want to put a longer USB C cord in the carrying case (maybe 3 feet or so) in this way you have room to set it on the seat while it is charging. Also if you want to charge it in the house you would need one of those wall plugs that allows the USB to plug into it.

SAFETY ALERT: When jumping a vehicle... I think that you should not turn the unit on until you have the jumper cables connected to the unit AND to the vehicle. AND turn the unit off prior to disconnecting the cables from the car. Remember that if the jumper cables are connect to the to the unit and the unit is on them there is electricity flowing through the cables and if the clamps touch it will be dangerous. (1) Connect jumper cables to the unit. (2) Connect the cables to the battery. (3) turn the unit on. (4) start the vehicle. (5) Turn the unit off. (6) Disconnect the cables from battery. (7) Disconnect the cables from the unit and put everything away.

I bought another highly rated brand of jump starter before the AVAPOW. As it happens, I have a vehicle that has developed a parasitic draw that kills the battery in my car every third day if it is not driven. The purchase of a reliable jump starter was very important to me, as the dealership where I bought the car cannot get the part needed to stop the parasitic draw, and they can't tell me when the parts may arrive, IF EVER: the part is something called a DMC module. You can imagine that this situation has caused a parasitic draw on me and my wife as well as the car!
Anyway, the first jump starter not only failed to start the car, but would't even recognize that it was hooked to a dead battery. I returned it, and bought the AVAPOW 6000a. No problem! I have used it twice to start my car and it did a really good job each time. Now, I am not afraid to go on vacation and park the car for a few days without having to call for help.
However, I do have one complaint: The AVAPOW comes with a type C charging cable, but does not include a type C wall charger in the package. You have to buy their wall charger separately at a cost of $21.00. Other than that, it is a great jump starter and is equipped with handy extras.
